Rayyan — Privacy Policy

Rayyan is a free prayer-times and qibla-direction app. Rayyan is made by Pulad Labs (Emre Polat, Istanbul, Türkiye), which is the controller of the data described here.

Data we collect

• Location: we use your device location (GPS) or a city you select manually to calculate prayer times and the qibla direction. Location is used solely for this calculation.
• Preferences: your selected city, calculation method, language, theme and notification settings are stored only on your device (local storage).

How the data is used

• Location is sent to the Aladhan API (api.aladhan.com) to compute prayer times.
• City search uses the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service (nominatim.openstreetmap.org).
• The qibla map loads OpenStreetMap map tiles.

We do not share your data

• We operate no servers and do not store your data on our systems.
• We do not sell, rent or share your data for advertising.
• The app contains no ads, analytics or tracking.
• No account is required.

Notifications

Prayer-time notifications are generated locally on your device and are not sent to any server.

Third-party services

The app uses the services listed above for time and location calculation and for maps. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Updates are published on this page.
